FABRIC
 
The gray canvas is made of a high quality 3-layer, 650 gr/m2, double-stitched coated fabric, which reflects solar rays and is UV, heat and water resistant. It is mounted under an aluminum guide curved towards the outside of the hull, ensuring perfect water flow and strong wind resistance, tested in gusts of 120km/h.
 
This rooftop tent offers 360º views through its windows and doors, and the mosquito net is sewn into the fabric. The James Baroud mosquito net is made with the strongest and most durable technology on the market, it has been tested in all environments.

The rear door is equipped with a transparent PVC window for rainy or cold days, the window can be closed to prevent bad weather, but the light remains inside. It is closed with a double velcro strip for perfect waterproofing and also as a safety measure, in the event of an emergency inside the tent, it is much easier to open the velcro to get out of the tent rather than the zippers.
 
We have also improved the closing method with the addition of a handle in the exterior part of the rear door. Now to close the tent, just leave the door zippers open and pull that rubber handle. Unlike the Evolution series, we removed the rear tape which could flap and make noise in the wind.
 
SOLAR ENERGY VENTILATION
 
Like all James Baroud hard shell rooftop tents, this tent is one of the few whose shell is strong enough to allow a hole in the middle to attach the James Baroud solar vent without compromising the structure .

HIGH DENSITY MATTRESS
 
Inside the tent you will find the James Baroud high density mattress, designed for long trips and maximum comfort. With a density of 28 kg/m3 and a height of 65 mm, it is often considered the most comfortable on the market.
 
Additionally, in the Frontier series you will also find an insulating PVC floor to improve comfort. And if you want to take a further step towards comfort and insulation, take a look at the Anti-condensation mattress accessory (sold separately).
 
It can add a little extra softness to the mattress and prevent condensation by allowing air to circulate underneath.
 
HIGH PRESSURE PISTON ARM
 
The closing and opening of the tent are automatically assisted by 4 hydraulic shock absorbers and articulated arms, the pistons ensure the tension of the roof tent fabric for perfect wind resistance.
 
The locking mechanism is patented and can be fine-tuned to achieve the best performance.
 
LANTERN
 
Light inside the tent is provided by the James Baroud LED lantern. With a 2600mAH USB rechargeable lithium battery, it allows several hours of use before being recharged.
 
INTERIOR STORAGE
 
Hard shell roof top tents have a storage net on the upper part of the interior.
 
When closed, the tent has storage space with a height of 20 cm (7.8'). In this space it is possible to store: 2 sleeping bags or blankets, 2 pillows, 2 sleeping clothes, the James Baroud ladder.
 
LOCKS
 
Frontier Series locks are now made from a solid polymer instead of metal. They have been designed to withstand extreme cold and rain while being easy to open and close.
 
To improve the aerodynamics of the tent, there are only 2 locks on the rear sides; the front part of the tent has a new patented locking mechanism that makes the process easier and faster.
 
LADDER
 
The ladder is adjustable according to the height of the vehicle and flexible to accommodate the movements of people moving around inside the roof tent. With non-slip and ergonomic steps, it is sent inside the tent in a canvas and PVC bag, to prevent sand, mud and water from penetrating inside the tent.
